The Capstone Project is an implementation by an advanced certification candidate (or sometimes conducted jointly by multiple candidates) that is an actual design and project plan that demonstrates mastery of the concepts presented in the core and advanced courses. It contains a number of elements including a discussion of the background and challenge (business case), program understanding, strategic alignment, etc. Including the courses, the entire process should be completed within 2 years.
What are the goals and deliverables for the outcome
1. A kickoff discussion between coach and candidate to lay out expectations.
2. A proposal presenting the business case, proposed project outline, and timeline.
3. A mid-course review.
4. A final report outlining the effort, any results, and impacts on outcomes (either achieved or expected).
